Top 6 Annoying Things People Do on Planes

That funky odor is one of them…

Let’s accept this; vacations are expensive, and especially after this pandemic, the prices are skyrocketing.

I have not been everywhere but it’s on my list. — Unknown

Now imagine you booked a luxury resort ticket and all is left on the plane flight to reach your destination.

Why am I writing this story?

Not even a single person on the planet earth loves that funky smell or odor. I was once on a 5+ hours flight, and the gentleman beside me was smelling so bad.

He was pretty nice, but I could not handle the smell. Thank God I was not going on a vacation but moving from one province to another and there were plenty of empty seats on the plane.

After that painful journey, I decided to research and find out if others faced the same problem.

Constantly going to the bathroom

Your trip might be wrecked if you sit in an aisle seat next to a passenger who cannot sit still and must continuously get up to move about and use the toilet.

If you’re sitting next to someone like this, forget the peace of mind.

On a short-haul trip, travelers are expected to use the restroom once or twice, but when it becomes a problem every 30 minutes, even the kindest person will not handle it.

It happened once with me, and I literally asked the guy if he wanted to switch the seats. This constant movement literally disturbed my tiny peace.

That funky odor

The funky odor stories are almost everywhere; once I read that a plane had to do an emergency landing because one of the passengers was too smelly.

There is no way to achieve frequent flyer status without encountering a smelly neighbor or someone seated next to you. The end effect isn’t ideal, whether because of the food they packed or not using deodorant.

There is no more courteous method to deal with the matter than to spray your tiny perfume on their seat when they get up to use the restroom.

However, if someone stinks, there is no hiding it. Remember that if your neighbor decides to remove their shoes, you can ask for help from an attendant to enforce the airline’s code of conduct.

Loud talker behind your seat

Without including the loud talker, we couldn’t write a list of the most irritating things people do on aircraft. Nothing is more annoying than a loud talker who refuses to utilize their inner voice even when the cabin lights are dimmed.

Ah, moving overhead luggage after every 30 minutes

I can prove that it happens on practically every flight, and it is really frustrating when it does.

In most situations, somebody will take your seat before you arrive, prompting you to hurry for your luggage’s next available unoccupied place.

When a passenger sets his or her baggage in your overhead space to avoid having to deal with locating one farther back, notify a flight attendant to deal with the situation.

Do not recline the seat

Why?

Most people travel economy and would love to use the extra couple of inches of space to stretch their legs.

It’s really annoying when the person sitting behind you asks you to please put your seat upright. I feel like someone just took my tiny piece of joy.

Switch seats

It happens to me all the time; almost on every other flight, people will approach to switch seats. I can sometimes understand it’s an emergency situation.

I love to give favor to strangers, but not when I select the window seat in advance by paying some extra bucks. Almost every airline lets you pick your seats when you book a flight.

Here is my simple funda; if you want to sit next to your wife, kids, or parents, just reserve in advance.
