9 Psychological Hacks to Make Your Life Easier

Tricks that feel like cheat codes to life
  1. Stay calm, serene, and always in command of yourself. You will then find out how easy it is to get along. — Unknown
  2. Look into their eyes — I always use this trick. When working under someone just as an intern, I also used this one when managing a bunch of people. It helps a lot to find the proper response.

Next time, if you are not satisfied with the answer, look in the eyes. It also helps that you are confident.

  1. Develop this habit of remembering names. A name is the dearest to everyone. Everyone loves their name. Master this skill, and you will be most respected.

People feel special when you actually remember and call their names.

  1. Sit close to an aggressive person, especially in a meeting. If you believe the person is going to make a comment, sit right next to the person.

Naturally, when you are so close to a person, it makes them uncomfortable.

  1. Too many options are not good because you use too much energy to choose from too many. The right way is to have fewer choices to think about; in that way, you will be able to save your mental power. After all, decision fatigue is a real thing.
  2. Always write down your thoughts, and make sure you have developed this crucial habit of writing a journal; it will help you a lot to dump your ideas, good and bad.
  3. Fix your posture; it will help you boost your confidence. Always sit straight.
  4. I grew up in a tiny remote village, and I remember once shaking a hand with a wise old lady, and she said that a cold hand is not a form of trust. Keep your hands warm.
  5. Always ask for help, especially if someone is actually able to help you; you need to make a call to get some help. First, I send a text to ask when they are available, then to talk in person or take the person to coffee or tea.
